Can you report a collegue that you think may be driving to work under the influence of alcohol?

and what, if anything, would the police do?
The collegue is a “she”
I can assure you that I am still very much employed and am not into playing childish revenge games!
We have smelt alcohol on a collegues breath when she has driven herself to work. Just wanted to know if it should be reported. Obviously it does not happen all the time so it is difficult to pin point when it will as there is no real set pattern/day.
As a nurse I wanted to know.

Yes you can and you should do. They will be waiting for him/her on his way into work and pull him/her over.

Are you saying this guy has a drink before coming to work or he is normally out at night????????????????????????????????????

if you only think?? no,, you should be certain otherwise you will be wasting police time. and upsetting a colleague

Yes you can – anonymously if you wish. The police will pull him over. breathalyse him and, if drunk, ban him from the road before he kills somebody.

You can report somebody for anything you want. It all depends on if they will respond. You cant report them because they drove to work yesterday drunk you have no proof. they have to pull him over while he is drunk. And they are not going to wait at his house waste gas and time just because you called and reported him “might be” driving drunk. They wont even respond to the call.

@craggy, police do not respond to ” i think a guy is driving drunk” on this highway can you send a car to pull him over? they dont have cause otherwise anyone can get someone pulled over for anything.

Example, you got fired from your job, call the police and tell them your boss is drunk and he is driving, and you want them to pull him over just for revenge. Common sense people.

WTF are you waiting for ??
You simply pass the vehicle details times locations etc. take an incident report number !! and insist they pull her asap.
Be like me and TELL the police what to do !
Otherwise they will sit on their fat lazy arrses in a cctv van somewhere until something worse ensues.
We employ and pay the police so get them busy report it and keep following up the report and insisting on results.

You can ring your local police (or crime-stoppers) and pass on this persons details totally anonymously.

Just give us dates times, vehicle details and names and we will try and catch them.

They are a menace to society and need stopping b4 they kill someone.
