These other posters are seriously clueless. The answer isn't so black and white, it depends on one thing, the modification. Right now you have a child support order and unless you modify it, nothing will change. Here is the factor, if you initiate the modification, you won't get credit, but if she does, many states will allow you to claim your other children as dependents and that will be factored in. Again, this depends on your state, you need to check the rules for the child support guidelines in your state, which is easy enough to do.

Having more children in no way affects the amount of support for your daughter. It will stay the same. Having more children and whether or not you could afford them was your decision. No one thinks one child is more important than the others but the fact remains you made the decision to have them while having to support another daughter. The only way you can get a reduction is if your income drops. Sorry I know that is not what you want to hear but that's the way it is.

Dude, I feel your pain here. My ex-wife did the same thing to me so I divorced her. There was one child involved and I have no problem paying that support. Now it is 3 years later and I am remarried and have 3 kids. Basically I think, if you are the man, you are wrong and CSD people will never side with us. I was pretty much told, hell no, you can't lower your payment. Good luck.

Only if you decide to divorce your current wife. Then child support will be calculated on how many children you are obligated to support and the number of households they reside in.

Having more children does not diminish your obligation to support them.

Is your daughter worth less now that you have more kids? I think child support is based on the cost of raising a child to age 18. If so, that amount isn't going to change, nor should it, based on how many kids you have.
