How will my loss of income affect the child support I receive?
When filing for child support, I had an income to report in the case. I just began receiving child support checks, but I no longer have an income.
Do I need to report the fact that I no longer have an income? Will that have an affect on the case, or change the amount I receive?

Yes, reported any changes in your income. The payer of the child support could have to pay more if you request it.
its based on ex’s money not yours. your not getting more cause your not working
you don’t have to let them know that you don’t have a job anymore and no, it won’t have an effect on you recieving child support. it is his responsibility to continue paying the child support regardless to what you make. most women would go and let them know in effort to get it raised so that they’d have to pay more. good luck hon! =)
I guess it may depend on your state law, but you should report the change but the amount of support that is ordered is usually based on what he makes. They take a % of what he makes. Contact legal aide for specifics.
My daughter is getting child support just on the 28% that they go by and she has no job and has stayed at home with the kids for 8 years because her littlest had a seizure disorder. So if you were given less than the 28% than I think you can take him Back to court
Depends on the State you live in. You could always pay an attorney and file with the court for amended orders. Child support is usually based on a formula. It would also depend if your orders were drafted in such a manner that they could be amended
I am in the playpen with sweet Mildred
yes you should report it but it depends on your states law. in my state the child support is reviewed once every three years. so it may not make much difference until it comes time to review it again
