I was involved in a class action suit, I am disabled now?
disabled because of weight I gained from the medicine ZYPREXA. They only offered me 30,000 and I think that is an insult to the value they put on ones life, not just mine but the thousands of others that were involved. I want to know if I have any action I can take to demand more money!

You’re already taking action to demand money. If you don’t like the settlement they offered you, then negotiate for more, or talk to your attorney.
That said, it seems to me that $30K is quite a bit for gaining weight as a result of a drug. You can still lose that weight, it’s not the same as if you lost a limb or died, so it’s actually a pretty good amount. Also, in a class-action, your settlement only applies to you, so that means that if there are 2000 other people just like you, you would all get $30K each.
In my opinion, they are not insulting the value of human life by their offer. You’re not dead. It’s not a bad deal.
You can choose to not take part in the class action suit and to file your own suit. Realize that there are time frames on when law suits can be filed – you already may be past that point (you didn’t tell us any time frames).
I would talk with an attorney and see if you can negotiate a larger settlement as part of the class action suit. Sometimes people get different amounts in such a suit, depending on the circumstances. However, sometimes it’s set where everyone gets the exact same amount. It depends on how the class action suit was settled.
As these types of suits take a long time to proceed, I would imagine that you are probably well past the time limit to file your own, private lawsuit. So, negotiating a larger portion of the class action suit may be your only alternative.
Be aware that once you take a settlement, you waive your right to try for anymore money.
