Top 10 excuses teens give for driving under the influence?
I’m making a poster for my summer drivers ed class, and I thought this would be a very good idea for it. Unfourtunetly, I’m having a hard time finding excuses teens give. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Denies being too impaired to drive.
Only a short distance.
Had no other way to get home.
Didnt want parents to know, so drove to sneak in, instead of calling them.
In no specific order:
I won’t get caught
1) I drive better after drinking
2) I only have to go a couple of blocks
3) I can control myself
4) Nothing’s going to happen, I only had 2-3 beers.
5) Everyone does it
6) No other way to get home
7) Ego trip- (teen thinks he’s 10 feet tall & bulletproof)
Sorry, could only come up with 8 tonite.

Parents can’t know I’m drunk
1. My mom said it’d be okay.
2. The bar was too crowded.
3. I only had 5 shots.
4. The police busted the party.
5. I had an Alphabet Revision Committee meeting.
6. Church choir rehearsal is in fifteen minutes.
7. Running late to SAT
8. I thought it was a roller coaster.
