What do I do when Child Support paperwork was supposedly never received?
I filed a complaint for child support and was told that the father would receive paperwork informing him of our court date. Its been several weeks already and the father tells me that he still hasn’t received anything in the mail. Will my case be dismissed or delayed if doesn’t show up? I don’t want to pay extra money to hire a process server to have his summons served to him. What’s going to happen if he doesn’t show up to court?

Be certain the court has his CORRECT address. It does take quite some time for the court to process paperwork.
Don’t believe father. You just sued him–expect him to lie. If he were not a deadbeat, you would not have had to file suit.
You should check the court file for a return of service. You can probably call the court clerk and ask her to check for it over the phone.
If he has not been served, the case is not begun. If he has been served and does not show up, he will be defaulted. Judges have very little patience with deadbeat dads who claim not to have been served when the court records reflect otherwise.
